Stirring Up Controversy: Not A Bad Thing
Friday, November 2, 2007

It would seem, we as people tend to gravitate toward the bad things. Now, I don't mean this in a sense of "doing" bad things and so on, but in that the things we remember about people and things, the things we notice, are the less than desirable.
We may not notice so much when somebody praises the man across the street, or talks about all the wonderful things he's done. "Oh, that's nice", we'll say. But what really grabs attention is when somebody brings up a bit of juicy gossip or talks about the big mistake the man has made. True or not? It never really seems to matter, as long as we walk away feeling "informed", or with a sense of self pride in thinking, "Well, at least I'm better than him."
It's a completely natural human thought process. - But why not delve deeper? When people insult or try to base anger or hate around any one thing: A product, a person, ect, you have to assume that product or person is making a lot of impact.
Nobody complains about something that isn't doing anything. In fact, people actually tend to stir the waters over the good things. Jealousy? Anger? They're all very human emotions, and when someone tosses out hate, or disgust, remember to ask yourself why.
Why? Isn't it easier to move on with life and forget about the bad things if they're truly bad? Of course it is. But what if something is making an impact? A real, good, true impact? People are naturally distrustful, and jealous, of success.
What about Time Magazine's Superfruit of the Year? (2006) There are a select few that spew hatred and bile around toward this amazing fruit like nobody's business. But let's smile, and brush them off like flies, like gnats.
Why?
Because we are, - because Goji is - making an impact.
And there will always be people who will try to thwart success.
