Trust: The Key To A Good Product
Saturday, June 7, 2008
Something that is all too often overlooked in marketing today is the trust generated by a product. Everyone involved in selling knows how important this is, but few are able to actually convey a sense of trust to people who have not taken their product. And it makes sense - normally those who have not taken a product have no reason to trust it. The product MAY work...but it may not. Without the ability to convince potential customers that their product undoubtedly works, works the way they say it will, and will work for a certain customer, businesses often attempt to market their product in other ways. One common strategy is to make your product seem like a "click" product - that it is high-class, esteemed, and is something for high-class, esteemed people. These strategies often come with elegantly styled logos, products, and bottles to convey a sense of value.
Doing things this way often works for a while. the lure of these products is that they come with a SOCIETY attachment - a group, or club that you can "belong" to by taking their product. These products also typically have very vague statements and vague ingredients. The amoutns, and sometimes the exact contents themselves may be obscure, but the product is supposed to work "because it's so packed full of nutritious ingredients." This isn't trustworthy at all - a gamble at best.
To me this just doesn't quite make sense. I don't sell access to a club, or societal inclusion, or a snazzy logo. I sell good health. The beauty of selling a product that actually helps improve people's lives is that you get to sell people better living. And that is exactly what our goal is at Goji Dog - to provide the customer with proven products they can trust to improve their health.
Fortunately, GoChi Juice is a product that is easy to trust. Whether you want to rely on its 4000 year usage, the incredible following it has in the entire eastern world, or pure scientific proof, the goji berry is a product that can be trusted. You can see it in the 90 day money-back gaurantee - a customer has an entire 3 months to try our juice, and if they aren't completely satisfied, they can return it and recieve ever penny back. The customer can trust that the product won't be a waste of their money, and Freelife trusts their juice enough to give customers far more than ample time to try the product out.
After all, trust is the sign of a successful, effective product.
